Southern Ontario Community Futures Week 2025

Your commitment and support for the Community Futures program have significantly contributed to fostering entrepreneurship, enhancing small business development, and creating economic opportunities throughout Southern Ontario.

 

Highlights from Community Futures Week:

  1. Diverse Events: Your dedication to encouraging collaboration and knowledge-sharing is remarkable, encompassing everything from insightful webinars and live workshops to engaging in-person gatherings.
  2. Innovative Discussions: The range of topics covered, including Small Business Fraud Prevention and the intricacies of buying and selling a business, showcases the vibrant nature of our community discussions.
  3. Success Stories: We proudly highlight the achievements of businesses such as Gingerbug Brewing Company, Ecowool Canada, The June Motel, Paddler Co-op, Grains & Goods, Pilon Family Funeral Home, and McCurdy GM Collision Centre. These success stories illustrate the significant positive impact of the Community Futures Program on local businesses and communities.

 

Impact of the Community Futures Program in Southern Ontario – Results from 2023-24 Fiscal Year:

  • Jobs Maintained – 2,520
  • Jobs Created – 1,359
  • Businesses Assisted – 715
  • New Loans Issued – 740
  • Value of New Loans for SMEs – $63.5 Million

 

These figures illustrate the substantial influence of the Community Futures Program throughout Southern Ontario for the 2023-24 fiscal year, highlighting our dedication to empowering and supporting entrepreneurs in the region.
